Our Services

Support can look very different from one household to the next. NNHC helps families match the right level of care to the person’s needs, authorization, and plan of care.

Personal Care Services

Hands-on assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and routine personal care.

Private Duty Nursing

Extended one-on-one RN or LPN support at home for individuals with ongoing skilled nursing needs and an authorized plan of care.

Skilled Nursing Visits

Intermittent nursing support for ordered skilled needs such as clinical assessment, medication support, wound care, and other nursing interventions.

Respite Care

Temporary support that gives family caregivers planned relief while helping the care recipient remain safely supported at home.

Companion & Sitter Services

Supervision, social engagement, routine assistance, and non-medical support for individuals who benefit from companionship and oversight.

Wound & Clinical Support

Nursing services for ordered wound-care and other clinical needs when appropriate to the plan of care and within NNHC’s service scope.

Personal Care Services

Personal care is designed for people who need hands-on help with everyday routines while remaining in their own home.

Common Support Areas

  • Bathing, grooming and dressing
  • Toileting and personal hygiene
  • Mobility and transfer assistance
  • Meal-related and routine household support within the care plan
  • Safety supervision and cueing

Who It May Fit

Older adults, people with disabilities, individuals recovering from illness or hospitalization, and others who need help with daily activities may benefit from personal care services.

Private Duty Nursing

Private Duty Nursing provides extended skilled nursing support in the home for individuals whose medical needs require ongoing monitoring or interventions.

Examples of Skilled Needs

  • Tracheostomy and ventilator support
  • Enteral feeding and hydration
  • Seizure monitoring and ordered rescue protocols
  • Medication administration under current orders
  • Aspiration precautions and complex-care routines
  • Other skilled interventions included in the authorized plan of care

Important

PDN requires appropriate clinical orders, nurse competencies, staffing availability, and payer authorization. NNHC reviews each referral individually before confirming service availability.

Skilled Nursing Visits

Some clients need skilled nursing without extended private-duty hours.

Clinical Assessment

Ordered nursing assessment and monitoring within the established plan of care.

Medication Support

Medication-related nursing interventions under current orders and within scope of practice.

Wound Care

Ordered wound-care services and monitoring when appropriate to the referral and care plan.

Respite Care

Respite gives unpaid caregivers temporary relief while preserving continuity and safety for the person receiving care.

Respite may support families caring for older adults, individuals with disabilities, people living with dementia, or clients with other ongoing support needs. Coverage and eligibility depend on the applicable program, payer, authorization, and available staffing.

Companion & Sitter Services

Companion and sitter support can help reduce isolation, provide supervision, and make daily routines easier.

Support May Include

  • Conversation and social engagement
  • Safety supervision
  • Routine reminders and cueing
  • Accompaniment and support with approved activities
  • Light routine assistance within the service plan

Not Skilled Nursing

Companion and sitter services do not replace skilled nursing when the person requires clinical assessment, medication administration, airway management, or other licensed nursing interventions.

Wound & Clinical Support

NNHC can review referrals for ordered wound-care and other clinical services that fall within the agency’s current capabilities and staffing.

Clinical services are accepted only after the referral, orders, required competencies, payer requirements, and available staffing have been reviewed. We do not promise a start date until the case is accepted and coverage is confirmed.

Ways to Pay for Care

NNHC works with multiple payer and funding pathways. Availability depends on the service requested, eligibility, authorization or policy terms, referral fit, and staffing. Coverage or payment arrangements are verified before services begin.

NC Medicaid

Authorized Medicaid home-care and nursing services as applicable.

SC Medicaid

Services subject to South Carolina Medicaid program and authorization requirements.

Veterans

VA-authorized care when NNHC is approved for the referral and service.

Private Pay

Private-pay arrangements for qualifying services based on availability and service needs.

Long-Term Care Insurance

Eligible long-term care insurance benefits may help pay for qualifying home-care or nursing services, subject to policy terms and carrier verification.

Workers’ Compensation

Authorized home-care or nursing services may be available for qualifying work-related injuries when approved by the responsible carrier or administrator.

Auto & Injury Claims

Certain injury-related care may be funded through applicable insurance coverage or settlement arrangements after verification and authorization.

Retirement & Personal Funds

Families may use retirement income, savings, trust funds, or other personal resources to privately fund qualifying care.

Coverage note: Benefit availability and reimbursement are not guaranteed. NNHC verifies the applicable payment pathway, authorization, or private-pay arrangement before confirming services.

How Care Starts

We keep the intake process straightforward and avoid promising service before the case has been reviewed.

1. Contact NNHC

Tell us the type of support you are looking for and the general location where care is needed.

2. We Review the Referral

We review service needs, payer or authorization requirements, clinical documentation when applicable, and staffing considerations.

3. Confirm the Plan

If NNHC can accept the case, we confirm the next steps, start-of-care requirements, and realistic staffing plan.

Service notice: Service availability, eligibility, authorized hours, staffing, and start dates vary by client, payer, location, and clinical need. NNHC does not guarantee acceptance or immediate staffing until the referral has been reviewed and confirmed.
